It’s no secret that she’s had an up-and-down battle with her weight for years. And following a 40-pound weight gain (putting her at 200 pounds), Oprah Winfrey is declaring war on her flab.

She told press, “I’m mad at myself,” over her newly-acquired pounds, admitting that she’s “fallen off the wagon.” And Winfrey admits that she’s tired of constantly battling the bulge.

“I’m embarrassed … I can’t believe that after all these years, all the things I know how to do, I’m still talking about my weight. I look at my thinner self and think, ‘How did I let this happen again?’”

And now that she’s getting real about her weight, Oprah pledges to do whatever it takes to get healthy again. She’ll address the issue on her January 5th show, kicking off her “Best Life Week.”

Continuing their assault on Los Angeles nightlife, Paris Hilton and Avril Lavigne were spotted out and about last night, partying at club Bardot.
The “Simple Life” starlet looked super sexy as she arrived in a black leather jacket/black tank top/short red skirt/black leather knee-high boots combo, while her “Complicated” songstress gal pal kept things a bit more conservative in a heart-pattern zip-up hoodie with charcoal jeans and black shoes.
Perhaps Paris is getting music tips from Avril, as Miss Hilton is finishing up work on her new album, said to be influenced by Kylie Minogue.
Paramore producer Mike Green was reportedly at the helm for the new dance-inspired project, though there’s no word yet as to which label will be releasing it, or when it will hit stores

Apparently Nicole Richie is trying to stop Benji Madden from meeting or dating other girls since him and Paris Hilton called it quits.
“Nicole was spotted at a party for the Maddens’ band, Good Charlotte, and their latest album, “Greatest Remixes.” A spy told Page Six , “Benji was approached by dozens of ladies. Girls were trying to flirt with him . . . but Nicole kept getting in the way.” The source noted that Richie “stopped every girl trying to take a photo of him,” and even “dragged him by the arm” away from a busty blonde.
Nicole’s a good friend, I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were her.

They’re the proud parents of an ever-expanding family, and yesterday Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber revealed the name of their newborn son.
The “King Kong” babe gave birth to a healthy and happy baby boy this past Saturday, and it turns out the baby’s name is Samuel Kai.
Samuel weighed in at 7 lbs, 13 oz and joins Schreiber and Watts’ one-year-old son Alexander Pete Schreiber in this happy and growing family.
And according to a rep for the couple things are going just fine. “Both mom and baby are doing great.” How’s that for an early Christmas present!

The “Mean Girls” babe stayed busy by promoting her 6126 line of designer leggings at Nordstrom department store, located at The Grove shopping center.
Flashing a Prozac-style smile, LiLo posed for the paparazzi in a pair of her own black leggings, teamed with a shiny black blazer and white top.
Earlier in the day, Lohan occupied her time by shopping and grabbing some pizza in Beverly Hills, dressed in a black knit hat, black jacket/shirt combo, distressed jeans, and black boots.
Meanwhile, Samantha Ronson was tending to her own affairs sans Lindsay, spinning at Prive nightclub, located at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
