Paris Hilton and Avril Lavigne Party Pals

by admin on Jan.25, 2009, under *, Avril Lavigne, Celebrities News, Paris Hilton

Continuing their assault on Los Angeles nightlife, Paris Hilton and Avril Lavigne were spotted out and about last night, partying at club Bardot.
The “Simple Lifeâ€‌ starlet looked super sexy as she arrived in a black leather jacket/black tank top/short red skirt/black leather knee-high boots combo, while her “Complicatedâ€‌ songstress gal pal kept things a bit more conservative in a heart-pattern zip-up hoodie with charcoal jeans and black shoes.
Perhaps Paris is getting music tips from Avril, as Miss Hilton is finishing up work on her new album, said to be influenced by Kylie Minogue.
Paramore producer Mike Green was reportedly at the helm for the new dance-inspired project, though there’s no word yet as to which label will be releasing it, or when it will hit stores

Anyone want to release Paris Hilton’s sophomore album

by admin on Jan.25, 2009, under *, Celebrities News, Paris Hilton

Heads up, record labels: Paris Hilton is on the prowl.
After getting the boot from Warner Bros. earlier this year, the multifaceted heiress is still seeking a record label to release her sophomore album.
“I’m not sure which label I’m doing it with,” she told “Entertainment Weekly.” “I’m figuring it out right now.”
As of now, Hilton’s set to release her follow-up album on an independent label - her own.
Hilton’s as-yet-untitled disc, which is reportedly scheduled to hit stores later this year, will be put out by Heiress Records, the Warner Bros. sub-label she formed in 2004 to help launch her first musical offering, 2006’s “Paris.”
Problem is, Heiress and its founder are no longer affiliated with Warner Bros.
The major label backed Hilton’s debut album, but has since quietly parted ways with the reality TV star-turned-singer.
And, although the 27-year-old is still listed on the label’s Web site as one of their artists, Hilton hasn’t been affiliated with the music giant for “months,” an insider told the Daily News.
Hilton’s new label - if she can find one - will likely work with Heiress in a similar nature to the sub-label’s relationship with Warner.
“Paris” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard charts, but was widely seen as a flop with a dismal 75,000 copies sold in its first week.
A Warner rep wouldn’t say whether weak sales were to blame for the split.
Hilton’s manager confirmed that the singer will be releasing her next album on her own label, but wouldn’t comment when asked if his client had teamed up yet with another heavy hitter.
Hilton unveiled her new single, “My BFF,” on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show in October.
“I was really inspired by Kylie Minogue,” she said, noting, “I wrote every song on the record.”
Her new venture is a “very personal album,” Hilton said. “My last album was very hip-hop … this is completely different.”
